I notice that you say 'grind' the nails, Sharon. I use a grinder too. So many people seem to have a problem keeping the CT's nails short - and a grinder makes it so easy! ;)

A grinder is an electric tool like this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dremel-Compatible ... 2a04721e2c

I wash my dogs once in two weeks. I wash with shampoo for dogs of firm Isle of Dogs. And necessarily I use the conditioner. Between show I am a coat in oil. It does not allow a coat to break and be confused. I only have recently cesky. But at me a wide experience on care wheaten terrier. And the structure of a coat at them is similar.

What kind of oil do you use?

I have used baby oil to rub into the Welsh Terriers whisker's and leg hair, it helps to stop the hair breaking.

Sea Breeze oil from Plush Puppy is fabulous - not heavy and sticky.
